The top drawing was created using oil pastels, graphite, vine charcoal, and compressed charcoal, as part of the 2-D project. The hand was drawn from a photo of my hand resting on the Western Wall in Israel. This picture is suppose to display the idea of peace in the area between the two groups, the Israels and Arabs/ Palestinians, hence Shalom (peace in Hebrew), and Salam (peace in Arabic). The bottom photo was part of the 3-D project. This project was created using the drawing from project one, the 2D one. I uploaded the 2-D project to adobe Photoshop. From there, I cut the hand out and duplicated the hand. I made one hand the teal shade and one the red and layered them on top of each other. The result of this method is a 3D appearance of the hand while wearing 3D glasses.
